I love traveling to creative gatherings of knitters, stitchers, sewists, painters, sculptors... and they all seem to have cool, funny mugs and t-shirts sassing about their craft. But I couldn't find great wit for weavers. And there's so much of the language of weaving with rich possibility!

That's how American Weaver Co was born. I want all of us to be able to show off this amazing skill that we have. To the non-weaving world it looks impossible, like witchcraft. To us, it's where we found home.

meet the owner

Hi.

I visited an exhibit of Richard Landis's weaving and drafts at the Cooper Hewitt museum in New York City and I was hooked. I had to weave. As with most of the weavers I've met, I loved every fiber art I could get my hands on, but weaving showed me where I belong.

I hope we get to meet each other at a guild or a conference or an exhibit. We'll know another weaver from the American Weaver Co swag that we wear with pride. I hope you have as much fun with these designs as I have. If you ever have a questions or an idea, please do reach out to me personally.

Happy drafting. Happy warping. And most of all, happy weaving!

~Paige

Our Home

American Weaver Co is located in an old stone house in the rolling hills of Philadelphia. For now it's a one women operation. But we have big dreams and are grateful for every purchase.
